I am Possible
“This chapter of my story begins when I shook the hand of my twelve-year-old son and promised him I would lose 60 pounds to be the healthy mommy he and his six-year-old sister deserved. I had zero clue how I was going to do this.”
Kristin had lost and gained hundreds of pounds during her life. Up to this point, she had tried everything to lose the weight, so she was ready to explore the idea of getting a gastric sleeve.
“I wanted an easy fix because I had come to believe that I was broken and being overweight was my burden. At least that’s what I thought.”
Kristin decided to speak with David, an OPTAVIA Coach and friend of her husband’s. David explained the simplicity of the OPTAVIA Program and the four components, which made it different than anything else out there: Coach support, Community support, Habits of Health®, and learning how to fuel your body every two – three hours with nutritional OPTAVIA Fuelings and a healthy Lean & Green meal.
“I liked the idea of creating a lifestyle, not just dieting for a period of time. I needed accountability outside of my home, someone to lean on, and a community of support. I wasn’t broken, I just wasn’t taught how to fuel my body correctly. I realized that anything was possible, that nothing is impossible, and that I am possible.”
Unsure of what to expect, Kristin began her OPTAVIA journey. She was in constant contact with her Coach and asked a lot of questions so she could really learn and apply the Habits of Health.
“I soon found myself with a spring in my step, clothes fitting better, interacting more with my kids, laughing more, and taking more walks with my dog. I was also sleeping better and I had more energy to get through the day.”
In eight months, Kristin lost 80 pounds* and gained a new perspective on life. She found herself genuinely participating in her own life as a better wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend.
“I whole heartedly believe in second chances. It’s my time to bring hope and possibility to someone else. I am forever grateful for this Program, the Community and my Coach. I have so much to look forward to. This is just the beginning of my story!”
